This page covers how access is controlled in your organization — from member roles to organization-wide sign-in and security options.

Member roles

Every member has a role — Admin, Editor, or Viewer — that determines what they can do. Roles are assigned when you invite someone and can be changed later. See Teams & members for what each role allows.
Grant the least privileged role that lets someone do their work. It’s easy to raise a role later if needed.

Single sign-on

Organizations can enable single sign-on (SSO) so members sign in through your identity provider rather than with a separate password. When SSO is configured for your organization’s email domain, members are guided to sign in through your provider automatically. Administrators configure SSO in the organization settings. Once enabled, it can be set as the required sign-in method for everyone in the organization.

IP allowlisting

For tighter control, an organization can restrict access to an allowlist of IP addresses — so the platform can only be reached from networks you approve, such as your office or VPN.
Take care when changing IP allowlist rules. An overly strict rule can lock members — including administrators — out of the platform.

API key permissions

Programmatic access is controlled separately, through API keys and their scopes. A key only does what its scopes allow. See API Keys.
